Your classic love story...young girl meets military boy...falls in love and BAM...they are married. :) I had such a great time capturing these two and their sweetness for each other. There was such an innocence and pureness about how they interacted. It made me feel like I was a High School football game again, watching some new love birds cuddle in the bleachers, completely in their own world and so giggly happy, that it makes it hard not to smile with them. Its that new love fluttery feeling that we all miss from time to time...the butterflies, the throbbing heart, the huge grin that hurts your face and the newness that brings so much excitement. These two were too cute and were definitely grinning from ear to ear totally in love and adorable!

Brandon and Tera, enjoy every minute and keep giggling with each other! You guys are such a great couple and I wish you all of the blessings in the world!

Hello San Fran!! Oh how I love you so! I love your craziness, your salty air, your crazy drivers, your amazing architecture, your fog and your wonderful crazy couples!! I have know Miss Veronika since about 4th grade, but it wasn't until recently I met her other half. :) They can write the book on "Opposites Attract". I loved every minute! I loved to see how free and eccentric Simon was around Veronika (who is a non-nonsense type of gal) and how much PDA he showered on her sweet serious self all day long! Very sweet. You can see how much he loves her in a hug. She was so funny, I love how she just goes with his flow and every once in awhile throws a little giggle his way. Opposites are great, because you get to see two worlds collide. And for those of us on the outside, its pure entertainment. :) Speaking of entertainment and colliding worlds...Simon rocked Veronika's and I's cardio routine that day! lol. With such a packed city with so much to see and so little time, Simon really tried to cram as much in as he could show me. We walked around the sensational Golden Gate park (well hiked), then up to a rooftop, then back down to the beach for a Golden Gate view (did I mention it was nude) and back again to the car...where at that point a very battered prego chick and a now glistening gorgeous Veronika were totally pooped and feeling the burn! hehe. Anyway, I so wish I could have had more time to explore San Fran with my camera and these two love birds...you just cannot cover enough in hours time! However, I did get to see a very dear old friend in love and sparkling. Veronika and Simon, thank you so much for our adventure of a day! I love your crazy love. I wish you so many blessings and many more adventures together...I hope the moment is never dull. Muah!! Sarah

Some sugar for Monday { Tori + Elmo}

So I think I've died and gone to blossom, vintage, lets throw in a classic old car...Heaven! You can only imagine my excitement when my cousin Tori approached me about her engagement session ideas....amazingness! In case some people didn't know this...I love vintage. I love old cars. I love blossoms. I love lace. I love lovey doveyness! Its always such a joy when people want to put something extra into their sessions and really make them unique and it doesn't hurt to have two perfectly in love models either! Tori looked stunning in her little lace vintage dress and the two of them together were so natural and sweet. These two have been together forever, you can definitely feel the comfort and ease in the air with them...such a realness. I love when I see couples that have been together for so long and still have that spark. Speaking of spark...I still cant get over how HOT these two looked...and I'm still swooning over the Bel Air (thanks dad)! Awww, thumbs up, by far, my most stellar engagement session. My mind literally could not keep up with all of the perfection right in front of my face (its a nerdy artsy thing). Anyway, I am so happy for these two and so happy to see my little cousin so perfectly in love and ready to get married!! Tori and Elmo, you both were great, thank you for letting me play with you both for the day! Tori, your gorgeous and you did such an amazing job at putting together "your look". I really hope you like these! Muah! Love, me.

Twirp 2011 - Juniors & Soph's

These guys were my first group that day and it was so worth the rush! I love the blue door with the lolly-pops and balloons! Their theme this year was "one sweet time", I think they nailed it with the props. And the colors were to die for...look at these amazing dresses and flowers! These girls were hot to trot that day! Such a fun group, I honestly could have taken pictures of them for hours and hated that I had to rush out. Thank you guys for thinking of me, you all looked stunning and were too perfect! I hope you all had a great time dancing the night away. :)

Twirp 2011 - Senior & Junior's

Man, I miss going to my High School dances. They were always so much fun and it gave you an excuse to glam up! Queen for the day. This group was great, I loved all of the colors, vibrant mustard flowers and all of the gorgeous teenage faces I was surrounded by. :) We were fighting against the elements that evening...mud, mosquito's and wind, but they all managed to pull it off like rock-stars. Thanks guys, you were all awesome!

I didn't get near as many shoots as I wanted of this perfect beautiful babe. She was not having it that day. I kinda don't blame her, I mean who wants to be naked and propped for hours. Below is just a little teaser of what we got in our few hours. She still is completely amazing and new. :) Congrats Miss Emily, you have been blessed with such an adorable baby girl! She's perfect. :) I had a great time with you girls! Cannot wait until little miss is sitting up and grinning!!

Billy & Jack attack

So I loved when Billy's mom called me and kinda gave me a warning about her son and his fear of cameras. :) hehe. Anytime someone would bust out a camera, he would hide his face or run away. Typical crazy three year old boy, who in the world wants a camera in their face, when there is running to do! I was up for the challenge and totally excited to meet this soon to be rambunctious three year old! Candids all the way!! So, we played for a few hours...we looked for bugs, picked bark, munched on tangerines, checked out his play house, walked a plank, jumped in some mud and then tackled a few balloons. Perfect day for any boy. Along the way, we caught some adorable smiles and laughs of this fun little man! Then there was Jack...the small shadow. That thinks he's as big as his three year old brother and pretty much kept up the whole time. Such a chill, sweet baby that just wanted to do everything we were doing. He was so stinkin' cute! Cant wait until our next play date...hehe, I might have to bust out a latte before hand, but I'm always up for mud and balloons! :) Happy Birthday Billy!!

So Emily is one of the 2011 seniors I've had the privilege of shooting. It was too cute how shy she was at the beginning of the session...but it didn't take too long to warm her up! :) Pretty soon she was striking poses left and right. (wink) Emily was a super sweet girl and I had such a great time cracking that shell of hers and getting to know her a bit. We drove around a lot to find some great urban spots that really fit her and her style.
Emily, you were such a great model for me and I wish you so much luck in the near future after graduation!! Do something great! :) It was awesome meeting you. You are such a fantastic young woman. ~ Sarah

What a perfectly gloomy cold winter day with an amazing duo! Meet my cousin Joel, his lovely girlfriend Sarah and the second love of this life, Riddic. :) When Joel called me to take couples pictures for them, I was totally stoked, things were just too perfect that day...gorgeous fun couple, a cute pooch, great colors, some insanely crazy wild red hair, a lot of jabs and joking, abandoned building, tons of cuddle time...and did I mention Joel's crazy hair. :) Just a note: Joel would not be Joel without his crazy red hair, I just love giving him a hard time...it just cannot be tamed. It was great to see such a connection between Sarah and Joel, they definitely both have a carefree, young spirit about them and you can totally tell they are crazy about each other. If Joel does not marry this girl, I may kill him (wink). Especially since she is such a good sport and totally not jealous when it comes to his child, Riddic. I think there were actually times we had to remind Joel, he was suppose to be smooching on Sarah and not his pooch. hehe. Anyway, I think you're both fabulously perfect and I had such a great time playing for the day! Muah!

Such an awesome down to earth family. I had a great time with Amy and her boys. Unfortunately we were all freezing that day, but they trooped through...proving to be perfect models even under the rough conditions. :) Families with all boys are always so much fun to hang out with...you have to have a sense of humor and there is always something going on. :) However, needless to say Avery, Jaden and Jack were perfect little gentleman through the entire session. I love all of the personality between the three. Lady killers...I think so. (wink).
Amy and Cyrus, it was such a pleasure meeting you and your family! You guys were amazing and you made pictures so easy! Next time we'll have to take some in the summer! hehe.

OMG. I always forget how small and sweet newborns are! After playing with this guy for the day, my baby looked huge! So sad. Anyway, welcome baby Bently! We are so happy that you have finally arrived. My friends Kayla and Tyler lucked out with such a cute mellow sleepy baby. Can you say jealous. oh yeah. He was one of the chillest babies I've had so far. We even were able to capture a few smiles - aww, be still my heart.
Kayla and Tyler, thank you so much for letting me capture your babe! He is absolutely beautiful and it is so awesome to see you guys as goo-goo eyed parents. I've always known Kayla would be a natural mommy. Its so cool to see your friends so in love and content as a new mom. Cannot wait to see more of Bently! I need to come by soon and get my baby fix! Talk about feeling like an old lady! I have know this gorgeous chick since she was a little girl. It was so crazy for me to see her and her tummy in all its MOMMYness and glory! I have no doubt in my mind she is going to be an amazing mama and I'm so excited for her to meet her little girl and fall completely in love. I love preggo sessions! Especially when they are with beautiful faces! Could this chick be model or what! I completely fell in love with the cream lace open shirt and sun setting in the far trees behind her. I know Emily was totally freezing, but she was such a trooper and looked completely stunning.

The Fantastic Bakers!

Yes, oh yes, this is truly one of the most amazing families I have had the privilege of meeting! I almost told them to take me home. hehe. It was so funny to pull up to the grandparents house and realize that it was a old childhood home of a friend I grew up with - many, many summers have been spent at that place. I was so taken back at how gorgeous it looked and seeing the same old tree we use to climb on was too crazy. Now...it could have been the combo of old familiar surroundings taking me back or the fact that this family is completely utterly great, but it was like hanging out with old friends. :) They made me feel so at home. Loved you guys! The Bakers are such sincere, real and down to earth people...you could so see how much they all adore each other. :) There was such a comfort in the air.
I had such a great time hanging out with their family for the day. I could have played and taken pictures of their kiddos all day! I loved Collins little man look and it was so much fun getting that real smile out of him! "Don't smile Collin...please don't smile" and bam, that cute little grin would appear. He totally rocked it and looked like such a miniature James Dean at times! hehe. Miss Carli on the other hand was our posing queen! Such an adorable little ham in front of that camera! I got look after look and pose after pose! I was dying over those polka dot tights and pink boots...oh and wait...those eyes! Gorgeous lucky woman! Awww, I need a girl! AND...I finally got to bust out my confetti! Yes! Perfect candidate...Carli wore it perfect!! Watch out mom and dad... I think you may have a little model on your hands! (wink)
Our day was filled...grandparents, antiques, dogs, tractors, fantastic home, confetti and galore - perfect session. :)
Celli and Chris, thank you for letting me spend a day with your family! You guys were so easy and I loved every minute of chaos! hehe, reminded me of my house. :) Thank you for being so welcoming and great. You have wonderful kids and parents...enjoy every minute with your clan!

Turning over a new leaf...Canine! :) hehe. When Kim asked me to take these pictures for a Christmas gift for her hubby, I was super stoked...especially when I heard there would be birds and retrieving involved. So, naturally I hit up one of my favorite hunters, my lovely husband. :) Who better to help me out with a hunting dog than an avid hunter himself. Bailey was such a good girl and so easy to photograph. Who wouldn't love that furry face! There is actually this photographer that I check on from time to time...she specializes only in pet portraits, some of them are pretty amazing. I can see now why she loves it...who wouldn't want to play with a dog all day! You can find her at sarahbethphotography.com.

I think that all of us from time to time should strip off all of our insecurities and realize that we were created in God's image and God only creates perfection. See yourself for what you are and really saturate yourself in your own wonderful uniqueness...feel sexy and really let go in your own skin.
I loved his session. Jennifer was a little nervous prior; but I assured her that there was nothing to be shy about, and that the session would be fun, romantic, and sort of liberating! It was so much to escape with Jennifer and let loose. Let her gorgeous self really shine. :)

I've taken many pictures of this guy over the last couple years and he's still one of my fav's! Such a big personality for such little britches. And now that he's talking like a little man, its twice the entertainment, hehe. I am not going to tell you how much these two love each other, its apparent. Cory and Greer are one of those carefree couples, that are so natural and effortless together. One of those couples that makes you realize you want to hold your husband's hand again while walking around completely wrapped up in each other's worlds. Yes, they made me totally jealous. Jealous of how stinkin' clearly perfect and adorable they were together...and for those couple hours, I had a great time hanging out in their world. :) Its always so refreshing to see a couple with so much chemistry and friendship and not only that...a totally smitten boy in love. Cory was too cute and sweet with Greer, and I loved the way he looked at her, awed. I probably took way too many cuddling and nuzzling shoots, and I apologize for that, but they were ultimately perfect at it...what was I to do! I cant tell you how many glances, swooning looks, nuzzles, kisses and goo-goo eyes I caught while we were out and about. LOOOVE IT. Cory and Greer met while attending school at Chico State...so naturally we went back to their campus of love! Chico is always beautiful this time of year and the colors everywhere were amazing.
Cory and Greer, I had such a great time meeting the two of you. You are both such down to earth and wonderful people and made it so easy for me to hang out with you for those couple hours! Stay madly deeply truly in love with each other and keep holding hands!! :) Enjoy the wedding planning!

Its always so surreal and odd when you find out a childhood friend is going to have a baby. For some reason, you seem to still see each other as those 18 year old girls. So when you hear that one of you is going to be become a mommy its a strange reality at first...amazing and completely wonderful in every way, but still, it grabs your heart to imagine your dear old friend as a mom. I cannot even begin to express how excited and ecstatic I am for Kayla and Tyler and their new journey, being pregnant is such beautiful blessing. There is no doubt that these two are totally smitten and sweet with each other, I think its pretty evident through our love fest of belly shots, how totally cute they are. I love couples that love each other! hehe. Speaking of cute...ummm, Kayla looks amazing! I think some of us wish we looked that good when we're not pregnant! haha. We could blame it on the glow, but I'm thinking she's just a hot mama! :) Anyway, my lovely friend, I think you look completely stunning and I think you are going to be such a natural perfect mom. So besides the fact that I love Christmas and the entire month of December...there is another little tid bit that brings a warmth to my heart every time. Christmas outfits!!! I love little girls in their festive dresses, velvets, colors, plaids and bows! I thought Maddie and Ashleigh looked too perfect and adorable. Its always so much fun to get two little ones looking at the camera...all of us dance and prance like fools just to get that sweet smile! Below are a few of my sweetest friends and their pack of boys. How flippin' cute are they!! I do admit, I may be a bit biased, cause I think they are pretty stellar...but look at those faces! I knew this would be a fun session going into it and I was super excited when Jamie asked me to take their pictures! I love when kids are totally being wild kids and people say "sorry" to me as they're about ready to strangle their child. hehe, trust me, don't say sorry, I'm completely entertained and laughing at every crazy moment! Gotta love boys! Speaking of boys...I don't think God could have picked a more patient easy going and chill woman to be assigned with four boys (yes Andrew you are included), Jamie you're an amazing mama and I love how much you all love each other. Okay, so you know those people that just have that knack and stylish flare for party planning and all of the minor little details that most of us take for granted they style with ease..everything seems to flow seamlessly together. Well, Tamara is one of those naturally creative people and did such a super natural job on putting together this bash. I have never been to a two year olds party that was so fantastic ...every glance had something cute and quaint, I thought I had died and gone to tractor heaven! Props to you woman...this party was adorable! From the crazy looking chicken in the petting zoo down to the jam jars with flowers, I loved every detail! Logan on the other hand was such a cute and well behaved birthday boy...he was a little timid about the animals and the wild looking lama, but showed his true blue boy colors once the tractors and pinata popped out! And the new bike at the end totally added that cherry on top. :) Happy Birthday little man! I hope you enjoyed your day! Thank you guys for letting me hang out at your party, it was amazing!

Lately the fall colors have been so tastefully vibrant! Clancy really wanted fall colors and luckily we happened to find some pretty great spots. I've known these guys forever, Keagan is actually one of my brother's best friends, so naturally it was a piece of cake to take their photos...and make Keagan blush along the way. hehe. I love how you can totally tell they are related...without a doubt. They all look so much alike! However, you should have seen a few of the looks I got when I asked them to love up on each other! hehe. Such an adorable little group of siblings!!!

Yes, this is little Leighton...the darling little munchkin Ive taken pictures of when she was little and you could just plop her anywhere. ugh...time flies. Anyway, Jenni had big outdoor plans for this party that soon got spoiled by the rain...so everything was moved indoors. I personally don't think it mattered at all, she still did such an amazingly cute job at decorating! I loved all of the hot pinks and oranges! Leighton looked edible as ever in her little tutu, flower and 1st shirt! We all wish she would have gone a bit more crazy on the cake, messed up that outfit a bit...he he. It was so cute how she just couldn't really handle the fact that there was this mess on her hands! he he, love girls!

I just love taking photos of my cousin Aubrey and her boys. For one, its more of a social gig than anything...especially since we don't see each other much, there is always a lot to catch up on, naturally. So as always I had a blast with my goofy wonderful cousin. I get such a kick out of teasing her right before I take the picture...oh man she's so easy to crack! I think Mike loves the comic relief he gets between the two of us too, it takes off some of the family portrait pain that most men feel. ha ha Best of all though are the looks the boys give her as she's laughing at herself, and I just had to post one for the world to see...classic. Anyway, its not hard to take a picture of these three...they have all of the elements working with them...good looks, the wandering hands that keep it interesting (wink), love, down to earth attitudes and some more good looks thrown into the bag. Its like killing two birds with one stone, I get to take pictures of an amazing fun family and hang out with the people I love. :) Enjoy..Muah!

Introducing one of my favorite group's of people. :) Jodie (well the whole clan really), take in my son two days a week while I'm at work. They have been such an amazing family to get to know and I always enjoy walking into the wonderful madness of their home. I honestly think Griffin would stay the weekends there if I let him. hehe. Anyway, this was one of the quickest family sessions Ive ever had...the boys weren't dying (too badly), Jenna was a total ham (see below) and they were just easy. Its always makes it so peachy for me when the family actually likes one another, you can really see how close and sweet they are with each other...it could have been a picture act, but I highly doubt it. I know they really love hanging out together, whether they admit it or not. There is always a realness about this family that I love...

Awww, the first senior of the year. I just love senior portrait time and I couldn't have kicked if off better with anyone else, but this awesome chick! Taylor was so easy to shoot and seemed totally at ease with me in her face for a couple hours. :) I loved all of her ideas and we both totally got lost in Dru's amazing backyard and garden. I felt like a kid in a candy store...cute senior + awesome scenery, really made for super fun and chill session. Taylor has such a big warm smile, that is so contagious and has such a spunk about her. She was so outgoing and was up for anything...my kind of woman. And take a look at those serious faces...oh la la. :)

Love this family and was super stoked to take their pictures! However, their one wish was for this session was for it to be taken in the rice fields before harvest...if you have never experienced a rice field in late September at 6 a.m., you are missing out my friend!! hehe. It was definitely a voyage for all four of us. They did pretty good considering the massive amount of mosquito's swarming their faces, and were totally able to still maintain those gorgeous smiles! Look how hot this family is!
I could not believe how big little miss Leighton is getting! She is definitely that busy toddler and still a total doll. I always want to squeeze her when I see her! Awww, baby #2 is right around the corner, cannot wait to meet that face. Another Meyer to add to the clan! :) Overall it was a fun day, the fields were beautiful and as always the Meyer's were awesome. :)

Loved this...loved every minute and detail of this party...from the beautiful sweet teen and her boots to the old fashion soda bottles! Party's with so much flair make my heart flutter! I might even drool a little. hehe. Roxy could have not been a more vibrant adorable birthday girl...I think my camera could have eaten her up all day...we had so much fun clowning around. Roxy is such a vibrant, carefree girl and it shows so much in her smile! Ummm, plus she's gorgeous. I loved how she was up for anything and it was way too easy to make her laugh (my perfect model). She also happens to be blessed with a creative mama that made this theme absolutely perfect! I couldn't stay for the whole party, but I heard it was great! Jill owns and operates Petals, a local florist out of Yuba City...so all of the great floral arrangements were courtesy of her little creative brain. :) Awww, the details...chicks, boots, bonfire, straw, jams, dancing...what a birthday bash! Roxy, enjoy being 16 and beautiful! I'm sure you'll be on the roads soon enough! Muuah!

I had a great time with this adorable family...they were too much fun! Best part of the day was when I asked mom and dad for a smooch...they both looked at me like I was completely out of mind and crazy for even thinking up something so repulsive!! hehe, I got some great laughs out of that one though!! :) Oh man the kiddos were so stinkin cute and easy, I think they secretly loved the camera. Mary was so funny...what a little poser! hehe, how great is that toothless smile! Manny was such a good babe, he is so easy going...we got that cute smile once in awhile! These two are finally getting hitched! There is such a difference between a honeymoon, fluttery love and a love that has been matured and refined. These two have been together for quite some time now and there is such a grounded realness (if that's even a word) that you see between the two of them...a more seasoned love. :)
First off, I just loved how they brought their country personalities into the shoot, Nicole' rhinestone boots were fantastic! Another one year old - whoopee. I took pictures of this stud muffin when he was teeny and now he's almost one! What...where did the time go?! I just love Karson and how mellow and chill he is! He has always been the perfect babe to take pictures of! Even with the adorable hat (I thought for sure he would rip off), he wore it like a pro! This time around he was a bit more active, but still, such a well mannered little gentleman! I love 1 year old sessions, especially when there is cake involved, but when Jenny busted out the amazing outfit choices, I almost squealed with excitement. hehe. The vest and tie were to die for and that little golfers hat...oh man, I could dance! :) Not only were the outfits perfect, but that face! That round adorable dimpled Karson face! Love it.

There are always those people that you just cant get enough of...needless to say, I love these guys! :) Its so rare to find people that are truly genuine and real in everything they do. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the Proudfoot family and I'm finding myself at a loss for words (yes, shocker I know) to really describe and paint a picture for you of this amazing family. Just a couple years ago they moved cross country to Ohio and its been forever since Ive been graced by their adorable smiles. :) I was uber excited when they asked me to hang out and take some pictures of them! Not going to lie...I'm not the best at family portraits and I am so horrible at any and all cheesy poses...so when I say that this was my easiest and most enjoyable family session ever...take it to heart people. They were such troopers through all of my "lay downs" and "now get ups" and "could you now sit please", and they had so many perfect moments that I could have eaten it up all day! whew. And the family quilt...oh man, I love that family quilt, the colors were amazing and just the fact that it has meaning makes it all the more sweet! Zeke man was so good and so adorably fun! I just love toe-heads! Love them!! I don't know why or where this infatuation came from, but how cute are those blue eyes and blonde hair! God, please give me a toe-headed child. (wink). Anyway, it was so good to see you guys!!! We've all missed you. :) Stay in touch and thank you again for thinking of me, I had such a great time with you guys and I just love little Zeke! Oh man, I just love 1 Year Olds!! Its the perfect ripe age for any baby...its when they just start showing the world their little personalities! Such a celebration and recap of how fast life goes by and how fast your babes grow into these small people overnight! Baby Alianna was so much fun! I was just dying over her cherub face and auburn hair, what a perfect little miss. Her sweet little looks were to die for!
A good friend of mine stumbled across this amazing old wall and I just had to find a baby and a mom that would put up with the rickety old floor and hot old dirty room for a couple of shoots! Christy and Alianna, you were my gals! How cool was that room!!! Alianna was so good throughout the whole thing and hammed it up a bit at the end to make the whole session, even more worth while...she danced, giggled and thought she was the coolest thing ever standing up on this iron chair I brought! hehe. Sorry dad, I think you are going to have your hands full in the near future. (wink).

I have known Levi and Jaime forever!! I love taking pictures of people I have a past with, its so cool to see them all grown as parents. They look like they are still 18 with kids! hehe. In a nutshell...these two dated in high school and a bit after, Levi joined the military and left, came back and WALLAH...love again. Perfect little love story. :) Cute couple + cute girls = Levi surrounded by gorgeous woman! One lucky man.(wink)
This session was a bit challenging at first...its always hard enough for babes to sit through a session, and I don't think mother nature helped. Mid summer day ~ HOT, at the grandparents with goodies and toys taunting their minds, HOT and this strange chick shoving a camera in your face begging for a smile. Could be rough for anyone...but they trucked through. I just love how alike they all look, such an attractive family...dark hair, dimples, big beautiful eyes! Eat your hearts out. I could have taken pictures of the girls all day, they were so entertaining and goofy.
Levi and Jam, thank you for letting me try to capture your amazing family! Stay sane with those three kiddos. Jaime, you are such an amazing natural mom...I know you probably don't feel like that, but your kids are great and you are sooo good with them! I always love taking pictures of girls, I love their sassy little faces, their adorable colorful dresses, the bows and flowers in their hair and all of the amazing patterns you can put them in! Those things just wouldn't fly with a boy! hehe. Anyway, I was super thrilled with Tasha asked me to take some pics of her wonderful little miss! Its been awhile since Ive seen her and I cannot believe she is almost ONE! I just love how hard of a time we had trying to get her to smile! She is definitely one tough cookie to crack, but her seriousness was so cute and funny at the same time! I think she made me laugh more with her "looks" than her cute smile (that we hardly got). However, Tasha and I didn't falter, we kept dancing around toys in hand, working hard for that grin! hehe. I'm sure it was a sight to see. When I was asked to take candid shots at their reception, I was more than thrilled. Candid's are so much fun to me and sitting back behind the scenes is always entertaining! This wedding was gorgeous! There was so much energy and love in the air that day! The colors were bright, bride was beautiful and the people were amazing! Such a fun group, it was really hard not to jump right in. :) And man, could they dance! whew.

Oh my gosh...love this little man! I know he has cute parents and all, but I could not get enough of this gorgeous little man's features!! I almost said, "forget taking pictures...I'm going to play and kiss the babe!" :) Little Mason was so personable and sweet, I feel in love with his smile and amazing dimples. Always wanted a dimple baby! Such a happy and content dude. Oh and the chub...awwww, love me some chub! As you can tell, I couldn't get enough of him and that face.
I just love that age, its when everything starts and they really come into their own. I remember so much changing around that time, its so fun!
Mason has pretty much mastered how to push around, roll and hold himself up...it will be no time at all that he's everywhere! We tried so many different things with him and it was so funny...he is such a strong little bulldog, he either stiffened up or pushed off everything, we kept having to re-prop him. hehe. It was towards the end that he told us he had enough...however, it could have been the fact we placed him in a giant pile of yarn! hehe, poor babies, the stuff they go through for their beauty shots!

I'm sure everyone runs into this problem, but I think its almost harder to take pictures of your own child vs someone else's...its the whole "its just mom" attitude I think. And me, being the picky perfectionist that I am kept hoping for that "real" amazing heart warming smile I see everyday. So between Griffin fighting the camera and my own hard attempts to get him to cooperate by acting like a fool, it was quite an entertaining day...but...would I have expected anything else...nope, and that's why I love him! hehe, meet Mr. Personality and his world of many faces! Awww, just want to kiss that face!

We did manage to get a few pretty sweet shots though and a few real Griffin grins. :)

This was the first time I was asked to take 8th grade graduation pictures...yes...you heard me right, this gorgeous face is the face of an 8th grader!!! One word for this girl, stunning. Sandra was a total sweetheart and such a piece of cake to photograph! It was like a banana boat commercial or something...except on back country roads...he he. I thought her adorable white dress w/ flower was such a perfect ensemble for a graduation. This little dolled up cutie also happens to be quite the athlete. We see her from time to time out in her backyard (we are neighbors), pitching to her mom for hours. She's pretty studly. Hopefully I will see her face on the volleyball court this year. Miss Sandra, good luck in High School, have fun, be good and stay away from all of those hormonal teenage boys! :)

Mason my man

I have known this little guy since he was born and have had the pleasure of watching him grow from diapers into pull-ups, crawling to craziness! :) It was so funny to me to hear him talk like a little person! Where did that voice come from?! Mason wasn't too happy when he first got to my house, it took alot of bribing, cartoons and promises to finally get him to get into the groove. Whew...busy little man! He definitely kept me on my toes the entire session! It didn't help that he caught a glimpse of some of the hidden toys at my house...ugh...and from that point on, no one can contain a toddler from trucks and cars! For the most part, I was able to catch a few "action" shots during our play-time. I just LOVE his eyes! I so badly wanted him to just gaze up at me with those big eyes and sweet look so I could catch something...but the moment was way too playful for any sort of baby face glance. The stinker wouldn't sit still long enough! he he. That's what you get though in the amazing world of boys! Gotta love em!

Steph, I so love your little dude, he has gotten so big and is still as handsome as ever! As always it was great to seeing and visiting with your lovely self.

How I love me a Hamman!

This family is like a second family to me, especially while I was growing up and they hold a very close spot in my heart. They had one of those "open door" homes...you know, you don't knock, you just walk right in and help yourself...no one blinks an eye as you roam around the house and help yourself to snacks, kick your shoes off, watch some TV...the family where you get greeted with a tight hug and kiss like you are one of their own...we practically lived there some summers! Meet the Hamman's. Its so refreshing and comfortable to see all of them and takes me back to so many sweet memories. They remind me of home.

You can imagine how honored I was to take some of their "now very large" family portraits...and I'm not going to lie, it was a challenge for me. We had a few lighting problems (my fault), too much stinkin sun, a lot of faces to catch and an un-thrilled toddler that only wanted a kitty to love. :) I wish I could have gotten more of little man Jace and that little Larry face, but he was not having it that day. The girls on the other hand were great, they twirled, smiled and enjoyed the sugar without a care in the world! I learned a few things that day about kids...make sure you bring something fuzzy or sweet and they will turn into complete mesmerized angels! hehe. I did manage to catch a few great faces though and along the way giggle and reminisce with one of the most amazing families. Plus I think we figured out what to get Jace for Christmas...meow. (wink).

I owe you guys a fall shoot whether you like it or not! As always I enjoyed hanging out, thank you for the laughs! Joann and Larry, Happy Anniversary, I wish you many more blessings and adventures for many years to come. I love you all.

Just to clear the air right now...I did not do anything to enhance Logan's fantastic baby blues! Holy cow. They are crystal clear and beautiful all by themselves...what a blessed little man. :) It was so great to meet Logan, he is so personable and fun! I was greeted at the door first thing with that huge wide wonderful smile! And I instantly feel in love with that edible face. It was a great session...toddler's always kick my butt with their never ending energy...I just love how they go, go, go. Everything is new and amazing and we want to touch and feel and check out EVERYTHING! hehe. He pretty much lead us around the whole time and along the way we were able to find a few things to keep him interested long enough to catch that great grin and a few laughs! Logan has such an irresistible giggle face...I loved it! It was so cute how funny he thought it was to watch his mama do the "Homer"...hehe, it was awesome and Tamara, your such a sport! :)

This session was almost like three in one. It was completely different than any other one for me...there were so many different scenes, props,twins and feels throughout the whole thing. I loved it! I took waaay too many pictures, but I couldn't seem to contain myself, there were so many moments I loved and those three faces...ugh...its like they came straight out of a magazine! I totally feel in love with Michael, Matthew and Emma, they are tremendous kids and so adorable!!
We wanted to start out with a kind of huckleberry Finn meets meets vintage look, and then head over to the classic barn, followed by a taste of an urban violin audition. :) Both boys are taking violin lessons and I was so shocked as they both serenaded me! I couldn't play an instrument to save my life and I was so impressed by the talent pouring out from these two little men! However, the whole thing was a challenge for both boys...who wants to sit around and smile when there is fishing pools, crawdads and water teasing you! It would be hard for any boy to restrain themselves with so much fun lurking nearby! It's always refreshing to see boys be boys and Michael and Matthew are all boy. This was also the first time I've taken pictures of twins and its funny how much of a connection they both hold with each other. How awesome would be it be to have a twin to get in trouble with!
Little Miss Emma on the other hand, was such a doll. It was really hard for me to stop taking pictures of her, she is so gorgeous and such a poser! I was telling her mom that she should put her in commercials! She was such a sweetheart the entire time and was up for anything we told her to do...except she wasn't too thrilled with walking through mud, tall grass and sitting over water, but like a trooper and a true model she trucked through! It was so cute to see how sweet her brothers were with her, they would cuddle and fix her hair when we needed them too...she is definitely going to be taken care of with two older brothers at her side.
So as you can tell it was a great session...and to top it off Melanie and I realized that we have some past ties! hehe, how funny is that! We were just chit chatting and suddenly a light bulb went off. I love a small world!

Octavio ~ Mr. Trunks

So this big guy is another senior I've had the pleasure of knowing throughout his high school career. I totally adore Octavio and think he is one of the sweetest, most down to earth and respectful teenage dudes I've met. We actually had to reschedule his first session...because like a champ, Octavio decided to take one in the eye during his baseball play-off game and well...things were a bit black and blue. Poor guy.
I tried a bunch of new places with Octavio...because lets face it, Octavio's not going to complain and with that adorable photogenic face I could have shot in a cave and he would have looked great. He was a total gamer throughout the whole "explore" session, and was totally cool with throwing some old random chair into the mix and posing like a pro while we had psycho pit bulls barking at us through a pretty rickety fence. I think I was more freaked out then he was though...it would have be me, the slow one left behind. Yikes
Octavio, you are a superb young man and I know that you will totally conquer the world! Have a great time in college and remember to try to enjoy it...I know its hard, but school is only a short time of your life. :)

New spots are great, so you can imagine how excited I was when Zack's mom asked that we take his senior session out at their place. I drove up and instantly feel in love with the old red barn...it was so genuinely rustic. There was so much out there, it was hard to choose. I was thrilled when Zack wanted to wear a dress jacket for his pics...it looked great with the scenery and he looked so slick. :)
I've had the pleasure of knowing Zack and his family for some time now, so I was honored when they asked me to take his senior pics. Zack was so much fun out in his surroundings...we busted out the truck and the quad...a boy's complete package of dreams - hehe. Zack has always been such a friendly down to earth guy and his sweet smile and soft eyes, totally do him justice. :) I love how he is such a big strong athletic dude with a big heart of gold. I also came to realize that he was quite photogenic and savvy in front of the camera...I think he was secretly digging the whole model thing. (wink).

This was the first time I had the pleasure of meeting Fahad and you could tell he was a bit nervous about the whole picture thing. :) Fahad was such a sweetheart and gentleman. We got to laughing a few times towards the end of the session, the jitters wore off and his comical side came out a bit! I always love to hear the goofy stories of my brother, cousin and the rest of the crew at G.H.S.~oh man. Through all of the giggles, we found that real Fahad smile he warned me about and I can see why his mom loves it! It's always fun figuring out people for the first time, they are either A) Born to be photographed B) Great fakers who have practiced well in the mirror or C) Laughers...once you get past their "camera" smile and find the real one its perfect.

Fahad, I had such a great time meeting you and your friendly face, you seem like such a awesome guy! I wish you all of the luck in the world at San Jose State - enjoy Southern California and everything about college!

Oh man, could you get any cuter...really?!! It took all I had to not scoop up this little Miss and SQUEEZE her! Poor thing was so good, as we placed, picked and propped her everywhere! Oh Leighton, your a doll. Hanging out with those two gals reminded me how great little girls are...just look at that tiny little nose, rosy cheeks, wonderful huge flower headbands...and the tutu, augh, gotta have a tutu! Love it.

Leighton crowned herself as the expression queen...she made some of the best faces throughout the whole session, just when I thought I saw them all, whoop...another amazing expression! I had to post a few. Jenni thank you for thinking of me, I had such a great time with your beautiful bundle! She is wonderful.

Awwww, Dakota...such a boy. I had a great time taking pics with this guy...the whole scaling buildings and climbing trees made him A-OK in my book! I told this lovely lady that I would take a fall and spring session for her...as always, I'm a personal fan of the this time of year (and Sheena)...the perfect weather, the perfect amazing fields, the perfect tanned skin and perfect colorful dresses! :) I love Sheena to death and had such a great time playing around with her, it was definitely an adventure though...we got grass everywhere, thorns in the feet, sand between the toes, some mud and water, but overall is was a great time with a great girl.
I love taking pictures of Sheena, she is up for everything and anything...however, the water idea, was all her! Sheena, your wonderful and amazing! Don't ever change. Muuuah!

It was definitely an entertaining session hanging out with these three beautiful gals! I loved working with the age gap between them all, it was pretty comical how differently you had to relate to each one. You have totally cute and gorgeous Emily with her wonderful locks, who was such a huge help and so easy to work with! Then there was little edible Alicia, who we couldn't seem to pull away from the lady bugs, BUT at the same time was such a good girl and such a pro at the poses! I love her baby blues and that red hair!! Little Addison on the other hand we had to juggle...we either dangled her mama in front of her, acted like fools or bribed her with milk for that CUTE smile! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining...it was all worth when you caught that perfect face. Isn't she the cutest little cherub, I kept wanting to squeeze her, but she wouldn't have it. :)
You girls were great, I loved taking pictures of all of you!

Look at this good looking family...cute from every angle! I had such a great time taking their pictures, they have so much diversity and personality rolled up in one package ~ it was great.
It was actually one of the only days we could fit it in before all of them scattered again! whew. Scottie, the oldest, will be leaving soon for Portugal to be a missionary for a few years, so they really wanted to get in a few shots of the gang before he headed out. What a great experience!
We decided to take some by this neat old stucco house that Imelda loves right down the street...its one of my favorite locations, the glass door is to die for! Anyway, I had such a great time with these guys, they were a ton of fun and SUPER easy to work with! Thank you for letting me hang out with you guys, you are amazing people and I wish you all the luck!

So, this will be my first personal post...I'm sure it wont be that amusing for anyone but myself, but I loved some of these pictures. If you've never been to Table Top Mountain in the spring you are totally missing out! The colors are completely amazing up there! It was hard to really capture all of the "pop" on my camera and I was a bit bitter that this amazing eye candy, wasn't showing up the way we were all seeing it. However, it was still a great day out with my two men...sun, wildflowers, people w/ kites, Griffin sporting my HUGE sunglasses...what could be better.

Was really hoping he wouldn't sit on a bee at this point!

So Emily is my little brothers girlfriend and practically family by now! I absolutely love this girl and could brag on about her for days! I mean, first off, she is sweet enough to put up with my brother and my crazy family...so that has to count for something...saint...maybe (wink), she has one of those amazing personalities, you'll want to squeeze her right off the bat and she is completely stunning!! Not like its not evident or anything, but how gorgeous is this girl! I had such a great time taking pics with Emily...she's a great girl to laugh with!
